Maybe you are worried that your child won’t want to practise, or have uncertainty about how to support learning at home. Maybe you learnt when you were young and remember lessons being boring and not fully understanding what you were playing.
At MMQ, we fully address these challenges.
MMQ’s Approach:
At MMQ, we believe piano lessons should be engaging, creative, and based on real musical understanding, rather than simply teaching to play the right notes at the right time. They should inspire curiosity, creativity, confidence, and independence.
Our approach combines structure and high standards with creativity and exploration, helping students build strong foundations while developing a genuine love for music.
Our pricing is simple, fair and budget friendly, with one payment each month between September and July.
Our curriculum is designed to build strong foundations while keeping learning engaging and enjoyable. Based on exploration, creativity, fun, and true musical understanding. We build not only reading skills, but playing by ear, arranging, improvising, composing and developing a full understanding of what is being played.
Your child won’t struggle with practice; they will actually enjoy it!
Performance is an essential part of the MMQ experience. Students are regularly given opportunities to share their progress through studio concerts, graduation performances, and external events.
These experiences help build confidence, resilience and motivation, while giving students clear goals to work towards throughout the year.
We believe strong communication with families is key to successful learning. Parents are kept informed and supported throughout their child’s journey, ensuring they always understand progress and next steps.
Parents have access to attending the lessons, informative meetings, reports, monthly newsletters, and progress meetings with the head teacher.
Our teachers combine high-level performance training with specialist pedagogical expertise and ongoing professional development. This ensures a structured, research-informed approach that focuses on building strong foundations while encouraging creativity, musical understanding, and independence.
On top of that, they are exceptionally caring, patient and passionate individuals.
We combine personalised one-to-one lessons with inspiring group learning opportunities, giving students the best of both worlds. Alongside individual piano lessons, students can take part in musicianship and keyboard skills classes, theory courses, performance masterclasses and festival preparation workshops. All this builds confidence, holistic musical understanding, and a strong sense of community.

Not at all. If you’re not ready for a long-term commitment, you are welcome to try it out for just one month and decide if you’d like to continue afterwards.
We are unable to offer make-up lessons or reschedule missed lessons. The monthly fee covers a regular weekly lesson slot during the school term, and lessons cancelled by the student, regardless of the notice or reason, cannot be rescheduled nor refunded.
If you are unable to attend a lesson in person, online lessons may be available as an alternative, which can be especially helpful for last-minute issues, illness or unexpected circumstances.
If you cannot attend a lesson, please let us know so your teacher knows whether to expect you at the studio or come to your home. When a lesson is missed, your teacher will provide notes or a video with guidance so the student can continue practising according to their programme until the next lesson.
If another student cancels a lesson during the same week, we are happy to offer that available slot to you whenever possible.
We keep things simple and hassle-free. If you need to stop, just give us one month’s paid notice and you can end your lessons.
