At MMQ we understand that learning works best when it fits around real family life. Home lessons offer a flexible and convenient way to learn piano, while still receiving structured, high-quality teaching and full support.
Home lessons remove the need for travel and make it easier to fit music around busy family schedules. Students learn in a familiar environment where they often feel relaxed and at ease.
All essential teaching resources are provided and delivered directly to your home.
Unlike many home tuition providers, MMQ home students are fully part of our piano school. They enjoy all the benefits of belonging to a thriving piano community, with opportunities to perform in our Studio Concerts, take part in Graduation Concerts, attend adult piano meet-ups, and join our workshops.
Home students also have access to our wider learning programme, including music theory courses, keyboard skills classes and musicianship lessons, giving them a richer and more complete musical education.
We currently offer home lessons in two main locations: Willesden Green and Pinner (and their surrounding areas).
Our methods are different and so is our pricing! Both of our packages include the same great offer.
Fees are payable September – July via Direct Debit Mandate, pro-rata’d for those joining mid-month. No Payment in August.

At MMQ we provide opportunities to help you develop further as a musician. For an additional fee, you can access these activities as you progress in your learning, simply by being part of the MMQ community.
Yes. Having an instrument at home is essential for practising between lessons. Regular practice is where students make the biggest progress and develop their skills.
Depending on the student’s level, a good quality keyboard with 88 weighted keys can be a suitable starting point. Choosing an instrument can feel overwhelming, so we are happy to help. We provide recommendations for different budgets and can advise you on the best option for your needs.
We deliberately don’t have a per lesson rate. We offer instead a comprehensive group of services that not only include the lessons, but also a specific parent support service (informative webinars, emails, meetings, reports and newsletters), performance opportunities and books and materials. All included in your monthly fee.
We are unable to offer make-up lessons or reschedule missed lessons. The monthly fee reserves you only a specific weekly lesson slot during the school term, and lessons cancelled by the student, regardless of the notice or reason, cannot be rescheduled nor refunded.
If you cannot attend a lesson, please let us know so your teacher knows whether to come to yours. When a lesson is missed, your teacher will provide notes or a video with guidance so the student can continue practising according to their programme until the next lesson.
Before stopping lessons, let us know if you have any kind of issue. Is the slot not working for you anymore? Does your kid have issues engaging? We are always open to discussion and available to help.
If we are not able to help with whatever issue you are facing (financial, family issue, etc.) just let us know as soon as possible. We only require one month’s paid notice in order to stop lessons. You let us know at least one month in advance and we’ll take care of the rest.
No, you don’t. We will take care of it for you. Books and materials are included in your monthly fee. We’ll buy the books for you and send them directly to yours.
