Elena Maroto is the left side of the brain behind MMQ Piano Studio.
Computer Scientist by training, she has been the Managing Director of MMQ Piano Studio since September 2018, working alongside her sister Marta.
For over 20 years Elena built her career in technology with leading international companies such as Accenture, Mercedes-Benz, and Airbus, where she worked as an IT developer, consultant, and project manager. In 2017, she chose to explore a new professional path, bringing her expertise in organisation and management to the world of piano education. Her career in IT took her to more than 14 countries, and she also lived in the United States for two years. Today, she is based in the sunny south of France and speaks Spanish, French, and English fluently.
Elena’s analytical and curious mind provides the perfect balance to Marta’s artistic vision. She excels at managing projects, costs, risks, and opportunities, ensuring that MMQ Piano Studio runs smoothly. Her responsibilities cover the full range of operations and administration: from website development, marketing, accounting, and purchases to logistics and overall management. In short, she looks after everything that allows the teaching team to focus on providing the best piano learning experience possible.
And in case you were wondering, no, Elena does not play the piano. Her keyboard skills are of a different kind!
Elena regularly travels to London at least three times a year, especially to prepare for concerts, where she enjoys meeting students and parents in person. The rest of the time, she is always just a text or email away.
